Caprica Trailer Now Online!
Published 7/22/2008 by Melissa Girimonte at N/A
The first glimpse of the Battlestar Galactica prequel, Caprica, is now online, causing major buzz – and lots of discontent. Watch the Caprica trailer over at SciFi.com, and weigh in your thoughts. Rob Hunter at Film School Rejects had the following to say after viewing the trailer: A family drama about the creation of the first Cylons? Without Vipers, dogfights, cliffhangers, or frakkin Grace Park? One of BSG’s many strengths is its strong, dramatic story lines, but they work as part of the whole BSG package. Removing everything but the drama would probably make for a ...

How cool is the trailer for Caprica ? I'm a big Eric Stoltz fan -- not to mention a massive Battlestar Galactica fan -- so I knew I'd be excited about the BSG prequel that may become a series. This week the Sci Fi Channel posted a trailer online, so now we know what to expect from the TV movie. In this interview , executive producer Ron Moore chats about Caprica and the final 10 episodes of Battlestar , which return in January. Stoltz discusses Caprica here ."It's a show that takes place in the not-so-distant future, on a not-so-distant planet, that deals with a family struggling to stay together, class warfare, religion, ...

Scifi has the trailer up on their website and it’s also on YouTube: Based on the trailer, it looks like Caprica will be more of an action/drama series with some sci-fi elements driving the story forward. I recall something BSG exec-producer David Eick ...

'Caprica' Looks Frakking Awesome
Published 7/24/2008 at MSN TV Blog
Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away Raoul and I were debating the merits of "Battlestar Galactica" miniseries/ likely spinoff "Caprica." Now, "Caprica" was just an idea in Ron Moore's head at the time. Raoul had faith that it would be good, and I didn't. (How very meta-"Battlestar" of us, eh?) Well, after seeing this trailer for "Caprica" I've developed quite a bit of faith. It looks great! There's a very 28 Days Later feel, but with the signature "Battlestar" stuff thrown in too. Also, there's Eric Stolz! It's too bad ...
