While the plot of FURY ROAD is still a bit of a secret, it is known that the flick is set to take place pretty quickly after MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME. The film will shoot in Australia, starting next summer.
This news, while great for Hardy, obviously means that Jeremy Renner (THE HURT LOCKER), who was once rumored for the role, is out. But that also means that he’s open for another kick-ass action job – any ideas?

There are no story details offered for the movie yet, but the movie does take place a short while after the story detailed in 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, which keeps Mad Max relatively young. It’s got a nice big budget, it will be shooting in Australia next summer, and everyone says it going to be huge!
