If you read Marvel comics, you may have noticed some hidden messages in recent issues: Images promoting Stephen Colbert' s presidential campaign have been popping up all over the Marvel universe. Amazing Spider-Man , Secret Invasion , She-Hulk , X-Men: Legacy ... These are just a few of the books that have included posters, T-shirts and other small shout-outs to Colbert. How long will this go on? Will a running mate be announced? Only time will tell, but you know the talk-show host must be basking in every minute of it. Thanks to BIG BUSINESS for the tip.

We all knew talk-show host Stephen Colbert was tight was Marvel Comics, ever since Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada gave Colbert Captain America's shield shortly after the good captain kicked it. But it seems things run deeper than we had suspected, as subliminal ads for Colbert's presidential campaigns are popping up in the scenery and on the background characters of several Marvel comics, including Secret Invasion (above), X-Men, the Amazing Spider-man, and more.
