Hanks will play an “ambitious, by-the-book detective” while Josh Lyman Whitford will be a “a drunken, lecherous, wild-card cop who hangs onto his job only because of a heroic act years before,” according to the Hollywood Reporter . Does this sound a little hokey? Maybe. But Burn Notice can sound sort of lame, and that show’s a lot of fun.
