Film Junk —
... It’s cool to hear from someone who has experienced the various incarnations of 3D over the years, and is quite simply just not buying it this time around. Personally I feel like 3D has its place, but I am not sure that it will save much of anything. The one movie that may have a real shot at validating the medium is James Cameron’s Avatar . Until then, it remains more an amusement park ride than a storytelling tool. Check out Ebert’s full article via the link below. Related Link: Roger Ebert: D-Minus for 3-D

Cancer may have taken his ability to speak, but Ebert still packs a punch with his words. The complete post is an eye-opener and I love the fact Roger is blogging now because I have yet to read one of his posts that hasn't interested me. You can read this complete post right here and while you are at it you may want to read his opinion on 3-D right here .

In fact, all three of the year's major 3D animated films -- Coraline , Monsters vs. Aliens , and Up -- have been hits with moviegoers, which might suggest audiences are warming up to the technology.
