Estelle Getty , best known for her role as Sophia on The Golden Girls, has died at the age of 84.
Her 85th birthday would have been on July 25th, just three days away.
Getty had been suffering from Lewy Body Dementia for many years.
She was surrounded by her family as she passwed away at 5:35am in her Los Angeles home. She is survived by her two sons.
