Globalbpo1 +1Great preview! -
Blairambassador The trailer looks so good doesn’t it? I’m so excited to see the City Of Ember books be made into a real life action/adventure. I love that Bill Murray is playing the villainous Mayor Cole he always brings characters to life like no one else can. Plus the combination of Tom Hanks and Walden Media you know it’s going to be good.
I cannot wait for October 10th!
My name is Blair Landon and I am an official ambassador for City of Ember. I have access to first-look pics of the movie not seen in the trailer (located on MySpace), and i'd love you to take a peak at them! I could also really use your help in spreading the word about COE and get lots of buzz going!
Don't forget to check out the widget we have too. It's pretty interactive and shows you where all the other City of Ember fans are around the world!
Again, I hope I'm not over-stepping and bounds by posting on your blog.
Best,Blair Landon

I hadn’t heard a single thing until The Movie Blog discovered it, but there is a new film due out in October called City of Ember, based off the book of the same title.
The plot seems interesting, but I am wondering if it’s more of a kids movie with the two teenage central characters.
Here is the official synopsis, from Cinematical:
For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights - underground. But Ember’s once powerful generator ...
City of Ember Poster

... I understand the poster a little better. A little.
I know that this is an early teaser poster. But still, unless we are talking about a huge property even teaser posters should tell something about the movie. Not much, but enough to get people interested. And they definitely should try to have a striking image or two that people can connect to. This poster has none of that.
And it’s also very brown, which is turning out to be my least favorite poster color.
