One Guess at Which Audience 'Hamlet 2' is Geared Toward
Published 5/1/2008 at RopeofSilicon: Latest Headlines
I am not at all making fun of Hamlet 2 when the poster that just debuted at Coming Soon is as upfront as this one is. From the co-writer of South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut and Team America: World Police Much props to the marketing department for the big brass ones on this poster. I didn't really care for the South Park movie, but I loved Team America and if they are willing to use those two titles to promote this film I am more than willing to give it a shot. I haven't watched the trailer for this one yet, but it made quite the splash at the Sundance Film Festival and is set to hit theaters on ...

First Look: Hamlet 2 One-Sheet Poster
Published 5/1/2008 by Neil Miller at Film School Rejects
It saddens me a little that Focus Features is billing Hamlet 2 as being from “the co-writer of South Park and Team America: World Police” because it almost cheapens the intelligent nature of the film, but alas, whatever sells tickets. It is true though, writer Pam Brady has been with Trey Parker and Matt Stone for many years, conjuring up all kinds of shenanigans with South Park, but with Hamlet 2 she steps out on her own and teams with Nancy Drew director Andrew Fleming to deliver one of the year’s most ridiculously funny films. Honestly, you just have ...

Must See 2008: “Hamlet 2″
Stupid me for my anticipations: 2008’s Little Miss Sunshine/Juno? Hamlet 2, which premiered at Sundance this year, is about an upcoming comedy about a politically incorrect high school sequel of the play “Hamlet,” which the drama teacher (Steve Coogan) writes after the school threatens to shut down the theatre. Also starring Catherine Keener, Amy Poehler, and David ...
Check Out a New Shot of 'Synecdoche, New York'
New movies often bring anxious fidgeting and the buzz of excitement. But a new movie by Charlie Kaufman , one that he not only wrote, but helmed, brings the anxious, hopeful mania of a kid about to see Mickey Mouse. At least, it does for me. I like Human Nature , but I love Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind . Now we're ...
First Look at the 'Synecdoche, New York' Surreal, Funny, Dramatic Artist Studio
Yes, technically this is just Catherine Keener and Philip Seymour Hoffman standing in a dingy artist's studio. But it's also a scene in Being John Malkovich and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind writer Charlie Kaufman's first directorial effort, Synecdoche, New York --only the second shot since this one --so I'm somewhat justified in my genuine excitement. In what way will the above ...
