It has already been reported that Terminator Salvation is the first film in a planned trilogy and that Halcyon has a thrill picture option on star Christian Bale to reprise the role of John Conner in the two sequels. Yep, it's official: "Terminator Salvation" won't be the last installment in the popular franchise that successfully kicked off in 1984.
As Variety reports, director McG, who is currently working on the post-production for "Salvation," is developing a fifth "Terminator" flick with Halycon Co.'s Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek.
Not much is known about the project at this stage, although the film may be ready in 2011. If both upcoming installments perform well, Halycon may even consider a third film.
