Ok…I will admit it!  I actually like Paula Abdul’s new song “Dance Like There Is No Tomorrow.” I was not too much of a fan of Paula’s old music, but this has a little Janet Jackson/Rihanna vibe to it, and she does a good job with her limited vocal skills. More surprisingly, Paula looks good in the video, and she breaks some good dance moves. Check it out here!

Paula Abdul's new music video was supposed to have its world premiere tonight on Fox, but Dance Like There's No Tomorrow was showning up on the Web, so Fox put it up . The bit in the middle where she is being held up as if over water and the dancers are simulating waves with their legs is very odd ... but I can generally forgive Paula for these types of flourishes in her music videos (it's the crap she utters on American Idol that makes me wanna wretch). ... and gents. Also: the staging of 24 people singing a cheesy medley in that theatre cracks me up. Guys hanging from the red room balcony, cuddling up on couches, girls singing in little cliques to the side -- kudos to you, choreographer.  Of course, the real purpose of the evening was...the debut of Paula's awful video! Don't get me wrong, I will dance the crap out of this song. But what is with the weird effects in this thing? And the closing shot?  Check it out here and let me know what you think!

Not a bad job at all. Oh, and the video features a few shots of Randy dancing while on guitar — and it shouldn’t have!
