TV Guide spoke to Ron Moore last night and got him to spill something that shouldn't be a big surprise to any trufan at this point: Battlestar Galactica fans are well-advised to sit back and savor this Friday's midseason finale, because the balance of Season 4 — the series' last, lest we forget — won't be hitting the tube until after "the first of the year," says executive producer Ronald D. Moore. And that's a best-case scenario. At a Wednesday-night screening of this week's episode, Moore explained to TVGuide.com that even though they are currently ...
No more frakking BSG until 2009?!

... But back to business. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore spoke at a Wednesday night screening of this Friday's summer finale and broke the news that the remainder of this fourth and final season of BSG probably wouldn't air until early 2009. The show just doesn't want to have to face off against the new fall slates on the networks or football and baseball, which I guess I can understand. Why not wait until January so all you have to deal with is those crappy shows nobody watches like ...
'Battlestar Galactica:' Good News, Bad News

... Bad news: This is the last new episode of "BSG" we'll see for quite a while. Ron Moore told TVGuide.com that the show won't be back to finish out its fourth and final season until January 2009 - at the earliest. Apparently Sci Fi doesn't want to compete with new fall shows and baseball and football. Um, hello? This is a show that's on at 9:00 on Friday nights. Sports I can see, but that's pretty much the death slot for a network sitcom or drama. ...
'Battlestar's' final season expands by 2 hours; TV movie looking good

... Ronald D. Moore, wrote "Battlestar's" final episode, which is now going to be three hours long (a wild guess here: Sci Fi probably wouldn’t air the whole thing in one night). Mary McDonnell described her reaction to the script this way: It filled her with "an incredible feeling of adrenaline,” she told Ain't It Cool News. “It made me understand the entire saga, and made me excited for all of you.”
As for when those last 12 hours will air, Moore has told TV Guide that it’s probably going to be in 2009.

Battlestar Galactica Final Season Split In Two
Published 6/13/2008 by Bruce Simmons at Screen Rant
... Bamber went a bit further and said that is how Sci-Fi essentially gets two final seasons for the cost of one. No wonder we don’t see him in other NBC projects these days! (Side note: He’s in two new projects. One from Distant Horizons and another from Marathon Productions.)
I suppose we’re going to have to really wait to see who the final Cylon is, won’t we?
At this point, I don’t care what they say. Do You?
