Breaking News: Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander Fired from Heroes
Watching Heroes —
Variety reports that a big shakeup has taken place at Heroes. Word came came down today that co-exec producers/writers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb were let go from the show.
Both Loeb and Alexander have been with the show since the first season and have basically led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/exec producer Tim Kring. Apparently the network executives have been frustrated with the creative direction of the show and large budget overruns this season, and had to place blame somewhere…unfortunately that was with Loeb and Alexander.

I am – Hercules!! Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, who (were one to judge from the season-two "Heroes" DVD) appeared to be Tim Kring's chief lieutenants in the "Heroes" writer's room, have left the show. From Variety: Both scribe-producers had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/exec producer Tim Kring. Loeb has known Kring since the pair worked together on the screenplay for 1987's "Teen Wolf Too." A comic book writer, Loeb wrote for "Smallville" and spent half a season at "Lost" before Kring brought him aboard "Heroes." Alexander wrote on all five ...
Two 'Heroes' Producers Fired in Shake-Up
Get The Big Picture —
Struggling to find consistent ratings and leaving fans
turned off by developments in the show's third season,
Heroes has parted ways with co-executive
producers
Jesse Alexander and
Jeph Loeb.
Variety reports that the pair were axed because
of NBC's "frustration with the creative direction of the show." Financial
concerns might have also played a part in duo's firing; the word is episodes
were costing over their $4 million budget.
Loeb and Alexander had been writers and producers on ...

Hello there! I hope you all had a great weekend -- I've spent the last two days cleaning out my apartment and starting the packing process, which is not my favorite thing. When I ran out of steam, I went to see Zack and Miri Make a Porno (it was funnier than expected). I also watched several episodes of Friday Night Lights , and my love for Matt Saracen is beginning to surpass my love for Tim Riggins. But now it's time to get back to work: - There's been a shakeup at Heroes , and co-executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander have been fired ...

Heroes Execs Jeph Loeb And Jesse Alexander Canned [Heroes]

... direction Sylar (the once bad ass villain has taken), the many tacked-on characters and the bazillion ho-hum plot lines. Now who should they get to replace them, besides all the J.J. Abrams people who are busy writing Lost, Fringe and StarTrek 2? (Just guessing on that last one). Actually, I think Steven S. DeKnight (Buffy, Angel, Smallville) is available, having just left the staff of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. [Variety]

NBC cans two Heroes producers
TV Squad —
Filed under: Industry, Heroes, Reality-FreeSo the big Heroes backlash now has two victims. NBC has fired two producers that have been with the show since day one, Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb. The show has been getting a lot of negative press lately (actually, ever since the strike-shortened second season), including this Entertainment Weekly cover story on what's wrong with the show and how to fix it. Sources say the two were let go because Universal is unhappy with the direction and cost of the show. Look, is Heroes as good as it was the first season? No, ...
ABC In Talks To Pick Up Fox's KING OF THE HILL??
Ain't It Cool News - The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news. —
I am – Hercules!! ABC, slated to debut Mike Judge’s new animated sitcom “The Goode Family” at midseason, is reportedly in talks with Fox’s TV production arm to air new episodes of Judge’s old series, “King of The Hill.” The Fox network announced last week it was cancelling “Hill” following its current, 13th season. Ratings are still good for "King" but the Judge series (unlike "South Park") still has a nine-month lag between script and air. Read all of The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive on the matter here .
