We Hate Hillary Because We Hate Old Women [Tina Brown]
Published 3/10/2008 by Ryan Tate at Gawker
Former New Yorker editor Tina Brown may be projecting just a bit in her Newsweek dispatch from the Hillary Clinton campaign. A Clinton campaigner in Ohio told Brown that there had been an "outpouring" of female support for the Democratic presidential candidate because of how "she was being treated by the media... we saw this as an attack of misogyny that was trying to beat her down." Peggy Drexler: Will Hillary Ever Be One Of The Cool Kids?
Published 3/24/2008 by Peggy Drexler at Huffington Post Entertainment Blog
... Younger women don't like her because she is one of the over 50, empty nested, cohort of women prone to experiencing their own private summers who Tina Brown recently profiled in a Newsweek column. "Written on their forehead everyday," she wrote," is "Invisible Woman" ... women who "find themselves steadfastly dissed and ignored." To a certain generation, then, she's still not one of the cool kids. ...
