Apple & NBC Negotiating in Public over iTunes Content
Published 9/4/2007 by mikek at Hacking NetFlix
... . According to the story, NBC video content accounts for about 40% of iTunes downloads, and Apple has about 76% of the digital download business. The fight seems to be over bundling and pricing, and Apple (in my opinion, rightly so) wants to keep things simple, but NBC wants to bundle content to increase sales. I'm also wondering if NBC wants to erode some of the power that Apple has in the digital download market, move it to the upcoming Hulu.com project, or if they're just negotiating for more money. ...

I just sent an email to Jason at Hulu to see if I can get some sort of response for us this week. WB chilly toward movies on Hulu
Published 3/20/2008 by Chris at Movie Marketing Madness
In a conversation with AllThingsD’s Kara Swisher, Warner Bros. SVP Jim Wuthrich said his studio would not be providing movies to Hulu.com any time soon despite the appearance of WB television programming there. TV is one thing, Wuthrich says, and the site is great for showing off some shows and hopefully getting people to buy DVD sets. But it’s “too early” he says for people to be accepting of ad-supported movies. I see his point in that ad-supported movies are far from the norm and, indeed, trying out such a ...

Actually, none of it rings a bell, so traumatized was I by Lou Ferrigno, and it has been a revelation how different the television series was from the comics. And you know what? It was better for it! As opposed to the often convoluted and outlandish Hulk comics, David Banner's origin story rendered him immediately sympathetic. He was so distraught over his failure to save his wife that he became obsessed with the way to unleash his inner ...

Roku's Netflix Player To Add Hulu or YouTube Content?
