tziller +1Obviously, Ike was far from a likeable fellow. But I'll note the production staff of Anderson Cooper was dancing to Tina song on tape after they did a segment on Ike tonight. So weird.

Ike Turner, the legendary musician and former husband of Tina Turner, has died at 76, TMZ.com reports. Turner died in his home outside San Diego, according to the report. No other details were immediately available. Born and raised in Clarksdale, Miss., Turner was inspired by the old blues artists and embarked on a musical career of his own beginning in the late 1940s. TMZ broke the news that Ike Turner has died today.
Ike turned 76-years-old last month. He apparently died in San Marcos, Calif. just outside of San Diego.

Turner apparently died in his home in San Marcos, Calif., just outside of San Diego.
Sources close to the family tell TMZ he may have died in his sleep. Having grown up on that Ike and Tina Turner, I can honestly say I'm probably verklempt about this. Also, he was on the Stern show earlier this year and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. I mean, aside from the fact that he was known for beating the shit out of women. I don't condone that.
