Double Double Toil and Trouble? Two DEATHLY HALLOWS?
Published 1/14/2008 by Quint at Ain't It Cool News - The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I've been catching up with my Potters in high def this week and low and behold a nice juicy Potter rumor hits the nets. Word is that the crew of the Potter series have been told to plan for the final book, THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, to be filmed and released as two movies . Apart from an obvious financial angle, this also makes a whole lot of sense considering just how dense and long the final book is. I love it and I love the idea of doing the book justice with more screen time dedicated to the adaptation, just as long as they release the movies MATRIX-like within a few months of each other. I think it'd also make the release of the final chapter of this huge ...

Warner Bros to Make Eighth Harry Potter Movie?!
Published 1/14/2008 by orfilms@gmail.com (slashfilm.com) at /Film
The UK’s Mail on Sunday is reporting that the big screen adaptation of the seventh and final Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, may be split into two separate films. This decision is an artistic one, rather than financial.
Deathly Hallows is 784 pages in length, compared to the first few books in the series which were less than half the length. I, along with most fans of the book series were rather surprised that Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix had not been split into two films. Goblet was over 700 pages, while Order neared the 900 page mark. I think both of the films ...
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows to be two part movie
Published 1/14/2008 by Hot Momma at Hot Momma Celebrity Gossip Blog
Good news fellow Muggles! It’s double the fun for fans (we hope) and double the money for the movie makers as the final Harry Potter film will be released in two parts.
J.K. Rowling’s seventh novel, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, will be released in two halves.
“There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves,” a source tells the Daily Mail.
The Harry Potter books have gotten progressively longer with the first, the Philosopher’s Stone, having 223 pages while Deathly Hallows has 776 and fans have complained chunks of later novels have been left out of films.
Author Rowling points out on ...

You try to prolong it, of course. This may be what Warner Bros. has decided to do with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the adaptation of the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling's series. According to The Mail on Sunday, "crew working on the sixth Potter film, Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince, have been told J.K. Rowling's seventh book, ...
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to Be Split Into 2 Films
Published 1/14/2008 by Michelle Graham at Film School Rejects
After reading this story on AICN, I was squirming in my seat, searching for more info. It seems that the big bosses over at Warner Brothers have realised that, while a single film was fine for the likes of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the way the books doubled and tripled in size (Order of the Phoenix for example, that thing is the size of the Bible!) means that fitting the entire plot of a giant sized Potter book into a single film will incite fans to mayhem and riots. So, for the seventh and final film in the septology (7 books, that looks like it should mean seven parts, right?) the studios are debating the release of a parts 1 and 2 to ...
‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ to Be Two Movies?
Published 1/14/2008 at Vulture
... London's The Mail on Sunday reports that crew members on the sixth Harry Potter movie are being told that the seventh and final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be split into two movies in order to leave in more of the story. We cheer this news; after all, the last couple of Harry Potter films have really suffered from needing to speed from plot point to plot point, never taking a moment to rest. The Mail also claims that a high-profile director like Steven Spielberg is being sought out for the final film in hopes of making it an ...

Harry Potter and the Filming Indecision

How do you wrap up a beloved blockbuster of epic proportions in one single film? Apparently, you don’t. Rumors are swirling that the final Harry Potter film, based on the final book in the series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is going to be split into two films. The filmmakers are saying it’s the only way to present the 776-page doorstop of a book in all ...
Two for the prince of one

Two for the prince of one Posted by Jeffrey Wells on January 14, 2008 at 12:25 PM If I was inhabiting the mind and body of Warner Bros. honcho Jeff Robinov , I'd say "of course!" to those urging that the film version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows be made into two films . That way I'd double the grosses and include the dozens of plot details in the 776-page book that would otherwise have to be sacrificed. And I'd get Guillermo del Toro to direct them both. Now...that doesn't mean I would necessarily sit through these films. (This is Hollywood Elsewhere inside the ...

Last Harry Potter Book May Be Made Into Two Movies
Published 1/14/2008 by BuzzSugar at BuzzSugar -- Entertainment hourly.
It's nothing officially official yet, but word from UK source The Mail on Sunday is that the seventh and last Harry Potter book will turn into two movies instead of one. While the obvious reason for this would be that Warner Bros. stands to make even more gazillions of dollars with a Harry Potter 7 and a Harry Potter 8, the article claims that "sources insist the reason behind the two-movie plan is artistic rather than financial." Here's more:
A film source said: "There's so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on ...

Final Potter Film to Be Split Into Two? According to a report in The Daily Mail newspaper, the crew working on the now-currently filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have been told that they have two more remaining jobs instead of just one. In less obscure terms, the buzz is that the seventh and final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows , will be split into two films by Warner Bros. Mail’s source states “There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well.” Of course, the bare fact remains that two Harry Potter movies will ...
Not two, but THREE Harry Potter movies left
Published 1/16/2008 by Mike at A Mike Life
If you are like me, then you are a fan of all things Harry Potter. I completely enjoyed the books, especially The Deathly Hallows, and have been amazed at how well the movies have been so far. I keep waiting for that shoe to drop, for one of these Harry Potter films to just absolutely suck, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
After The Order of the Phoenix hit theaters last summer and we all finished reading The Deathly Hallows, it left us with only two movies to go before the series basically comes to an end. The Half-Blood Prince and of course, The Deathly Hallows.
Yet it’s not going ...
