Rumor: Is Johnny Depp The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s Wonderland?
/Film — CelebEdge is reporting a rumor that Johnny Depp will be re-teaming with Tim Burton (duh) to play The Mad Hatter in Burton’s upcoming hybrid adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Rumors have surrounded the project since it was first announced. At one point some reports were claiming that Depp was actually going to play Alice, as the film is supposed to incorporate performance capture. Thankfully that rumor didn’t end up being true, as In Treatment star Mia Wasikowska was announced for the part. So who knows, this could be true, or just another rumor. My guess is that Depp will be involved in the production in some capacity, and the Mad Hatter seems like the perfect fit. ...
