Saddam Hussein’s yacht
Saddam Hussein’s luxury yacht, Ocean Breeze, is for sale after a dispute over ownership has been settled.
Iraq’s government spokesman Ali al Dabbagh issued a statement saying, “The cabinet has decided to sell the yacht of Saddam Hussein, docked in Nice (France), and the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs were responsible for the transaction.”
The yacht was seized by French authorities in January after it docked in the Riviera city, and remained there while courts decided ownership.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt purchased this early-1830s masonry mansion in the French Quarter of New Orleans two years ago, while Pitt was filming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”
Real estate records show the house was purchased for $3.5 million in cash on January 2, 2007. The buyer is listed as Mondo Bongo Trust.
The house has a grand spiral staircase, elevator, gourmet kitchen, a large private courtyad and a separate two-story guest house. It also has private parking for two cars - a luxury in the French Quarter.

Back in January, the Jolie-Pitts leased the $60 million Tudor style mansion, Sassafras. Now it appears they have loaded up the family and checked into Murdoch’s 10,000 square foot, waterfront Federal style house.

Gran Caribe Real Hotel’s Stolen Beach

Five people were detained for stealing sand from the sea floor and pumping it onto the beach in front of the Gran Caribe Hotel in Cancun, Mexico.
The powder-white sand beach in front of the hotel was closed and ringed by crime-scene tape, guarded by gun-toting sailors on Thursday.
“Today we made the decision to close this stretch of ill-gotten, illegally accumulated sand,” said Patricio Patron, Mexico’s attorney general for environmental protection. “This hotel was telling its tourists: ‘Come here, I have sand … the other hotels don’t, because I stole it.’”
