The Sun and the New York Post are both reporting this morning that Madonna and Guy Richie are getting a divorce. A statement has been prepared and the couple will announce their intentions today. Both sources are reporting that the Kabbalah bid to save their troubled marriage failed and they have decided to pull the plug.

16-year-old Eri Yoshida has been drafted by the Kobe 9 Cruise, becoming the first woman in Japan to play professional baseball alongside men.
Yoshida, a high school student at Kawasaki Kita High School in Kanagawa Prefecture, says she “always dreamed of becoming a professional.”

Legendary Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas collapsed in the press box at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, just hours before the 3:05 p.m. start time of the Washington Nationals’ home opener against the Phillies. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m. EDT.
