When a live-action adaptation of the fight-centric anime Dragonball was announced, there were some concerns. Was there enough hair product on real, non-anime Earth to support Goku's ridiculous coiffure? Would fans get too upset if the character's orange gi were replaced with a t-shirt with some Japanese characters on it, showing an Abercrombie-level understanding of Asian culture?
