As a former personal assistant to Sean "Diddy" Combs, longtime friend of André 3000, and signee to Kanye West's GOOD Music label, Fonzworth Bentley pretty much knows everybody. That may help explain why he headlines this star-studded, Temptations-style video (directed by Dion Watkins) posted to West's blog, and partly excuses his low-voiced, low-impact verse ("hot like Crisco"?). Although "Everybody" isn't all that great, it's a fun enough chance to see West, 3000, and hip-hop group Sa-Ra running through some old-fashioned choreography. ... have been mining this smooth-synth-funk vein for ages, and it's nice enough but not terribly compelling; ditto Andre's verse (can't win 'em all). Kanye sings the hook, because he is an all-around entertainer, and there is choreography (far better than the Dear Jayne video earlier, although that's not difficult), as well as tuxes and bow ties.
