Robert H. Schuller, 82, the founder of the Crystal Cathedral and patriarch of the Sunday morning Hour of Power broadcast, has removed his only son Robert A. Schuller, 54 from his preaching duties on the weekly televised program.
In a prepared statement that was read by church president Jim Coleman to the 450 member congregation, it appears father and son have had a serious falling out.

Hollywood Church of Scientology Security Guards Kill Man

The security guards at the Hollywood Church of Scientology facility claim that they acted in self defense yesterday when they killed a man who turned up outside their church building with two samurai swords.
Police report that the man who was killed had previous connections to the church. The disgruntled man had two swords that he was waving at the three guards. Fearing for their safety, one of the guards shot him dead with a semi automatic handgun.
The incident was caught on camera so it should be interesting to see if law enforcement officials call it self defense after reviewing the video. Seems a little scary that the Church of Scientology ...

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reportedly received death threats that are believed to be from groups opposed to their Scientology faith.
Security for Tom, Katie and daughter Suri, who are currently living in separate locations due to work demands, was stepped up last week after protesters from the anti-Scientology group Anonymous targeted the Los Angeles premiere of Cruise’s film “Valkyrie,” where the star was in attendance.
(It should be noted that Anonymous has not been named as the source of the death threats.)
