Polo Horses Die Before Tournament (VIDEO)
Bitten and Bound — 21 polo horses are dead after collapsing from an unknown toxin just before a tournament in Florida. The horses, from the Venezuelan-owned team Lechuza Caracas, appeared to have died of heart failure caused by a toxin that could have been in tainted food, vitamins, supplements, or a combination of all three, according to a veterinarian who treated one of the sick horses. The horses collapsed and died on the scene or while being transported or treated at vet clinics.
