New Kick-Ass Movie Poster
/Film —
Last night Lionsgate released the first teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s big screen adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book Kick-Ass. For those of you who haven’t yet seen that trailer, I urge you to watch it now. It’s not the best representation of the movie, but given the strict PG restraints of a green band trailer, it works for now (or at least until a red band is released). Lionsgate has also released a new poster for the film on MySpace, featuring the star of the movie, Aaron Johnson, sitting on top of a dumpster, all bruised and beaten. Check out the full poster after the jump. ...
New Kick-Ass Movie Poster. “I Can’t Fly. But I Can Kick Your Ass.”
GeekTyrant —
The first teaser trailer for this film was launched on the web last night, if you haven’t seen it yet make sure to check it out! This movie is going to be a big hit among us geeks. As for the rest of the general audience, that has yet to be seen. I just know from what I have seen, and from reading the comic book that I’m gonna love it.
As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and ...
Kick-Ass Poster Got Its Ass Kicked
Cinema Blend News —
... central themes of Kick-Ass is that, because he is a superhero with no superpowers, Dave Lizewski gets the shit kicked out of him A LOT. Many have read that the film will be extraordinarily violent, but film-goers will quickly learn that as much blood comes out of the protagonist and the antagonists. It happens so often, in fact, that the number of real life "superheroes" may go down after the film comes out, rather than up. I mention this because the new poster, which premiered on MySpace , captures this theme perfectly. Sitting in a dumpster with a face reminiscent of ...

Total Film News —
The brand new Kick-Ass poster is available below for your gawking pleasure. It's been quite a week for Matthew Vaughn's film, which won plenty of praise for the first, fun trailer and now has a fresh image, courtesy of MySpace, to go along with it. Unlike the character pages that showcased all the characters, this is a spotlight on Kick-Ass himself, Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), looking particularly rough after a night battling crime. It's in perfect keeping with the ballsy, funny tone of the movie and just makes us want to see it more. Now, if only some smart British distributor would pick the damn thing up for release. Come on, ...

KICK-ASS HAS A POSTER NOW TOO
FilmDrunk: Movie news you can make fun of —
Via MySpace, here’s the new poster for Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass. That’s Aaron Johnson, the movie also stars Nic Cage and McLovin Mintz-Plasse. One of the subplots of the comic book is that Kick-Ass shows up to school covered in bruises, it spawns rumors that he’s a gay prostitute. I don’t know how much you can say about a poster, but this one’s pretty good as far as not having sunglasses badly Photoshopped onto anyone’s face or a punny tagline that’d make a greeting card writer puke. Also, I’m not sure what’s up with those boots. Between those, that haircut, and the two giant dildos ...
