Label Snubs Stewart's Country Dreams.... Veteran rocker Rod Stewart is enraged with music label bosses - after they refused to let him record a country-inspired album. The Maggie May hitmaker is desperate to record country classics for a new LP, but his decision was reportedly blocked by executives at his label J Records after music fans panned the idea.

... for my own peace of mind. So when I do kick the bucket (die), I can say, 'I did that.'" Too bad Clive Davis refused. He said: "Clive Davis wanted a Christmas album but I'm not into that so much." I don't blame him for not wanting to do a Christmas album. If the legendary rocker wants to do some country songs, why not just let him do it? He has enough fans to sell to who'll probably buy anything he makes. Source
