Good morning! I hope you're all feeling good this morning -- I'm still recovering from an uncomfortable visit to the eye doctor, where I was forced to sit very still as he removed some sort of "filament" from my eyelid. Agggh! I could not stop thinking about this movie the entire time. Anyway, I'm fine now, and I have a few headlines to share: - We have a story about last night's late shows (and the hosts' beards). Late Night Returns! Golden Globes Doomed?
Gothamist —
... everyone from writers on the picket line to bored couch potatoes were abuzz with news that the late night heavyweights would be returning with all new shows. Last night was the big night (Letterman, O'Brien, Kimmel, Ferguson and Leno all returned), and both Conan O'Brien and David Letterman took the stage showing solidarity with strike beards intact. And besides, Letterman is making you all look bad, because he's got writers. He's got striking writers on his show issuing their comical demands. He's winning. ...

Leno did deliver what was a funny monologue. So the big question is who wrote it: WGA members or scabs (i.e. the usual contingent of joke ...
