You Aint No Picasso — ... sure, they’re pretty much tearing through the work on their next album. In fact, we got plenty of proof this weekend. In addition to the previously played songs “While You Wait for the Others” and “Two Weeks” we were treated to two previously-unheard ones that’ll be on the next record. As with any Grizzly Bear song I’ll need repeated listens to really let it sink in, but there was one that sounded like it was going to turn into something quite special. Highlights for us so far, with one day left to go: four new songs(!) from Grizzly Bear, Spank Rock's cartoonishly raunchy bump-n-grind session with Amanda Blank, a drunken early afternoon romp from the Black Lips, and an inspired performance by Broken Social Scene (sans Feist, but Amy Millan more than made up for her absence). The weather played along, a bright sun blaring down throughout, hitting hardest for the sun-drenched, Letterman-approved "Two Weeks" [download above] and the instant vintage "While You Wait For The Others."
