Thanks to The Playlist we have been made aware of a promotional trailer for Michael Winterbottom's The Killer Inside Me based on the Jim Thompson novel and starring Casey Affleck, Simon Baker, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Elias Koteas, Bill Pullman and Ned Beatty.

Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Simon Baker, Ned Beatty, and Bill Pullman round out the cast but it’s clear that this is Affleck’s film and that’s why I’m excited to see this film, even if I saw the synopsis in visual form with this trailer. ... Give a big hand to The Playlist for digging up this trailer. Now, if you don’t know the story you might not want to watch this one. It’s about five minutes long and gives away most of the first act, but in a way that, to those new to the tale, will seem like far more is being shown than is really the case. This really plays up the involvement of Jessica Alba, though we’ll actually see more of Hudson across the span of the film. ...

... . Is the character going to have the strength to carry the film forward and make us believe that he's hidden this evil for so long? You can see the trailer below through The Playlist , and be warned, there are a couple of violent moments, and it does set up quite a bit of the story. It has me intrigued though, considering the amount it shows, it's raced through the book in just this six minute piece and looks like it's near the end already. For those of you who have already read it, see what you think.
