Brittany Murphy Ousted as Tinker Bell
Cinematical — ... reports that Brittany has been canned, and Mae Whitman is in. The post details all the woes with the Tink series, as well as Murphy's current decline -- from Ashton dumpage, to rumored drug use and a marriage to a man with a lot of legal trouble. This isn't exactly Disney-desired behavior, and it seems that her voice was lacking some sort of magic in the role -- not entirely surprising. Also, get this: "The story didn't work, too many fart jokes and lesbian innuendos." Fart jokes for Tink? What were they smoking when they originally put this together? ...

Stars in Rewind: Who's Ann Veal?
Cinematical — Filed under: Comedy, Trailers and Clips, Stars in Rewind "The girl whose face will always be etched in my mind." As soon as I read today that Mae Whitman has taken over the voice of Tinker Bell from Brittany Murphy, I had to go back in time for a little Arrested Development. Sure, Whitman was in Independence Day, and has a whopping 69 other roles under her belt from the last 14 years, but her time as Ann Veal is, by far, my favorite. Above is a ...

"Tinker Bell" Speaks!
Film Gecko — The long-awaited direct-to-DVD Tinker Bell finally has a release date: Oct. 28, 2008. The Peter Pan spin-off — a CG-animated film — marks the first time the little fairy will speak. She IS a fairy, isn’t she? I dunno, she might be some sort of related creature, though no less sweet (or spirited). Tinker Bell will be voiced by Mae Whitman, replacing Brittany Murphy, who’d been associated with the project when it was first announced two years ago. Also lending their voices: Jesse McCartney, ...

"Tinker Bell" - Premiere Pics!
Film Gecko — ... gets to talk this time! I can’t wait for this movie, being a Tinker Bell fan from way back. It tells the behind-the-scenes story of the little pixie. Long before Peter Pan and the Lost Boys soared into Never Land, Tink and her friends were creating their own special magic in Pixie Hollow, a secret hideaway deep in the heart of Never Land, where the Disney Fairies make their home. Ooohhh… Directed by Brad Raymond, this sweet film features the voices of Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Kristin Chenoweth (Rosetta), Raven Symone (Iridessa), ...

"Tinker Bell" - Review
Film Gecko — ... “Tinker Bell” is bright, colorful, and filled with sweet characters – the perfect remedy for these challenging economic times. The story begins with the birth of Tinker Bell (voiced by Mae Whitman), the result of a child’s first laugh (that’s how fairies are born). ...

Speaking of Scott Pilgrim News…
TheBadandUgly.com — ... Why none other than Ramona Flower’s fourth Evil Ex-Boyfriend:Roxanne Richter! Ex-roommate in college, lesbian fling and the one who taught Ramona all about traveling through sub-space. The rest of you may know the actress, Mae Whitman, better as Ann Veal from Arrested Development. And if my eyes aren’t deceiving me, she’s on set for the “animated” and “motion capture” sequences too. ...

Disney’s Tinker Bell was named “Honorary Ambassador of Green” yesterday, October 25, 2009, by United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information, Kiyo Akasaka at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.  Tinker Bell was joined by voice cast Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Raven Symone (Iridessa),  TINKER BELL AND THE LOST TREASURE director Klay Hall,  producer Sean Lurie and UN delegates as they celebrated the world premiere of TINKER BELL AND THE LOST TREASURE, which arrives on DVD ...
