Mouse reshuffles, Leo the lion on the block, and other tales
Premium Hollywood - Entertainment blog, Hollywood blog, movie blog, TV blog — ... . To my rescue came Marti Noxon, who was Whedon’s right hand and more on the later seasons of “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.” Noxon, whose current writer-producer gig is on “Mad Men” is stepping out of the shadows of show-runner superstars like Whedon and Matthew Weiner and back into the old fang game to write her own movie, a remake of the affectionately recalled 1985 vampire horror comedy “Fright Night.” She’s done fine work on a bunch of different TV shows of different genres, so I have confidence in her. But, if the writing thing ...

MAD MEN Staffer Marti Noxon To Write DreamWorks' FRIGHT NIGHT Remake!
Ain't It Cool News - The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news. — ... instead of Screen Gems: at the latter, it would get farmed out to the uninspired, paycheck-cashing likes of Nelson McCormick and J.S. Cardone; at the former (particularly under the guidance of genre-respecting producer Michael De Luca), there will at least be an initial attempt to do right by the underrated original - in which a young man's passage into adulthood is rudely interrupted when he realizes a vampire (in the ultra-suave form of Chris Sarandon) has moved in next door. According to The Hollywood Reporter , MAD MEN writer-producer Marti Noxon has been brought in to ...

'Fright Night' remake in the works
Oh No They Didn't! — ... original "Fright," released in 1985, was written and directed by Tom Holland and starred Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall and William Ragsdale. Ragsdale played a teenager who discovers his neighbors are vampires. The new version will keep the comedy-horror tone while modernizing the effects. The WME-repped Noxon also has been a writer-producer on ABC's "Private Practice" and "Grey's Anatomy" and Fox's "Prison Break." www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3ia626985c88bb687240e61fbc61141687

Now they are destroying Fright Night
Seriously? OMG! WTF? — Proving again that no movie is safe from being remade, The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Martin Noxon was hired to destroy, I mean write, a remake for Fright night. I know I should be OK with it because Noxon worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angle, but I just can’t be OK with it. William Ragsdale was just so freaking awwwdorable in it, I don’t want to see anyone else in his role. Seriously when is Hollywood just going to come up with original movies instead of remaking their favorite movies when they were kids and destroying them?
