Does anyone honestly think that Meet the Spartans , the next spoof movie from the folks that brought us Epic Movie and Date Movie is actually going to be worth sitting through? ... The trailer is about what you would expect, serving up a handful of 300 scenes redone with tongue-in-cheek. At the end a Britney Spears surrogate is thrown in solely so there’s someone annoying to be pushed down the pit. Notice the complete lack of any story or anything like that. That’s probably not an aberration, but is likely indicative of the movie as a whole. [via Vic] ...

20th Century Fox has recently released the official movie poster for Meet the Spartans , the spoof movie that stars Carmen Electra, Kevin Sorbo and our favorite pot smoking Wu-Tang member Method Man. Even worse than the trailer is the TV spot that I saw last night for Meet the Spartans . It’s basically just a bit more of the 300 spoof, with the guy kicking various pop culture folks - mostly the ones that show up on the poster - into the Pit of Death.
