Mel Gibson and Britney Spears met last night at the Beverly Hills Havana Club. The two have been fast friends since the pop star was released from her second hospitalization early this year. They were previously neighbors in Malibu before Brit moved to her current gated community in Studio City.

Bitten and Bound — A few weeks ago actor Mel Gibson made headlines after his wife of 28 years filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.  Last night Mel hit the red carpet at the screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine with his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Witnesses at the event said that the pair came in quietly and tried the keep under the radar, adding that Mel looked very comfortable holding hands with Russian singer Oksana.
