Metallica's Ottawa raises $8,000 for food bank
Oh No They Didn't! — 580 CFRA reports that Tuesday night's (November 3) Metallica concert at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is helping to fill the shelves at the Ottawa Food Bank. Metallica has donated a portion of each ticket to the sold-out show to the Food Bank, delivering a cheque for CAD $8,700 (approximately USD $8,200) to the agency. Executive Director Peter Tilley says every dollar donated to the Ottawa Food Bank generated $5 worth of food into the community.
