... are the names that have just been added to the project, and they are three mighty names indeed. I would guess that Strathairn will be someone in the UN, he has that air about him from previous roles. However there's no word on the casting of the others involved. That starts shooting later this month, on October 26. [Screen Daily] ...

... that the UN is covering up a sex-trafficking scandal. Appropriately enough, the title of the movie is The Whistleblower . Vanessa Redgrave and David Strathairn also star. No word, yet, on the role that Belluci will play. But for the edification of those who clicked on this article because of the headline, let’s just assume she’s not playing one of the sex-trafficked women, and that she plays a lesbian love goddess who has a thing for female Nebraskan cops. Happy now? (H/T Screendaily ) ...

... First Generation Films, Berlin-based Barry Films and New York-based companies Primary Productions and Plum Pictures. The production companies have referenced as a touchstone SILKWOOD, the 1983 film starring Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell, and Cher, which features a dramatic scene in a decontamination shower that is often referenced in pop culture. 1999’s THE INSIDER, which stars Al Pacino and Russell Crowe has also been mentioned as a reference point for the film.
