New Wanted Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Empire Online has launched a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Wanted that compares the movie to Mark Millar's graphic novel series. Opening June 27, the Timur Bekmambetov-directed thriller stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Terence Stamp, Thomas Kretschmann, Common and Angelina Jolie. You can watch the featurette here !

Wanted.jpg Take a look at the Wanted featurette below. I had been a but non plussed about this film, but the featurette looks really good. You can see the Wanted featurette here on Empire . Sometimes comic book writers disown film versions of their work, but you can hear Mark Millar give his thoughts here. Along with the director, Timur Bekmambetov they show you new footage, plus they compare elements of the comic book with how they are in the film. Has this peaked your interest, of are you still unconvinced?

This new featurette about June 27's Wanted praises how true to the Mark Millar comic the super-assassin movie will be. But watching the bit where James McAvoy's character hits his boss with a computer keyboard so hard, the man's teeth and the computer's keys fly through the air and spell "FUCK YOU," it feels more like a tribute to an old Asterix comic. In any case, turns out it doesn't matter that Wanted jettisons the entire plot of Millar's comic, as long as it duplicates some of the wildest action sequences involving bullets passing through exploding heads.
