M. Night’s HAPPENING Tonight, And You Guys Are Weighing In!
aintitcool.com 6/12/2008 — Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. Not sure if they’re screening this for the Austin crew or not, but I’m going to pay to see it at the midnight show in Woodland Hills so I can review it tomorrow night. Fox has been screening it a bit, though, and several of you have sent us reviews now, so it’s time to do a round-up of several of the best for you, with reactions all over the map. Here’s ...
What'd You Think?: "The Happening" and "The Incredible Hulk" —
FilmArcade.net
Hey all! I'm going to reveal a new feature today called "What'd You Think?," where I ask you all about YOUR personal opinions of movies. We have reviews for these movies coming on later this week, but I wanted to know - What'd You Think?
Yesterday, we saw the release of two summer blockbusters. The first one was the sixth film of M. Night Shyamalan called "The Happening," telling the story of
Adam’s review of M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” —
Pop Critics
(My reviews tend to contain mild spoilers. While I don’t really think I am capable of ruining this, proceed with caution. )
I refuse to believe that M. Night Shyamalan isn’t capable of making another great movie. Unfortunately, his last two films have made that extremely difficult.
Some say that he stopped making good movies when he came out with Signs , but that’s my favsies (I’ll ...
The Happening: So. . . That Happened —
BuzzSugar
The best part of going to see The Happening was getting to watch the X-Files movie trailer — which is way more chilling on the big screen than it is on YouTube. Can't wait for that one! As for M. Night Shyamalan's latest spookfest, well, as Alec Baldwin's character Bob Barrenger remarks after a car crash in State and Main , "So. . . That happened."
The movie has been getting poor reviews ...
Weekend Box Office #88 —
ALLIGATORS IN A HELICOPTER
So I'm absolutely swamped with work. No time to write, no time to see any movies this weekend. Not that the reviews have been that great anyway. THE INCREDIBLE HULK (3505 theaters). The few reviews I've seen have been okay, and it'll probably do something, though I think the failed version of a few years ago knocked the bloom off this rose. $53.4 million. THE HAPPENING (2986 theaters). I think ...
Kevin's Review: The Happening - A Different, But Familiar, Shyamalan —
FirstShowing.net
The Happening may not be a reboot of a previous storyline or character (ala The Incredible Hulk , also coming out this weekend), but it certainly aims to recharge M. Night Shyamalan's career. Since the writer-director-producer (and sometimes actor) crept into the public consciousness with the Sixth Sense back in 1999, his career hasn't exactly gone skyward, save for the slight altitude ...
New in Theaters: June 13, 2008 —
Film Gecko
Just in time for Friday the 13th, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening hits theaters. Early reviews aren’t all that impressive, but I’ll check it out and report back. And, of course, I’ll be seeing the Big Green Guy, a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk tomorrow, too. Listen to my reviews on BlogTalkRadio Friday night at 8 p.m. EST.
The Happening (wide). Mark Wahlberg and ...
The Happening Reviews - Dreadful —
Movie Moron
The reviews for The Happening are in.
It’s been interesting, as a fan of director M. Night Shyamalan, to gauge the critical and fan response to his films over the years. Most folks seem to adore The Sixth Sense and abhor Lady in the Water - a consensus that remains consistent down through the years. But the early popularity of Signs seems to have devolved into nit-picking over the ...
Review: The Happening —
Movie Tickets Online
(I will avoid direct spoilers.)
M. Night Shyamalan and his ego have been spending too much time together. I think they should see other people. The Happening proves what even the biggest supporters of the director (such as myself) have been fearing for the last few years: the man has burned out, completely losing touch with what makes a good movie.

M. Night Shyamalan Says The Happening is a Fantastic, Fun B-Movie —
Film Junk
Well we’re only a day away from the release of M. Night Shyamalan’s next movie The Happening, and I have to admit, I’m really looking forward to it. Sure, I’m a little bit apprehensive about the negative buzz and poor early reviews, but at this point, I wouldn’t expect any less. I did agree with [...]
