New Hellraiser Movie Is A ‘Reboot,’ NOT A ‘Remake’

... element amongst all the simple slashers we get so many off nowadays. There’s no word as of yet who will play the titular character but since it’s a reboot I don’t think they can get the original guy back (otherwise what’s the point of it being a reboot?).
Calling on tall, bald, spike headed actors!
Is another Hellraiser film a good idea or is it yet another classic horror entity that should be left alone?

Mixing elements from both the first film and Clive Barker’s original “The Hellbound Heart” novella, both the characters of Frank and Julia will be present. 'Hellraiser' Remake Being Remade as Reboot

... is going to make, but we're hearing that the new Hellraiser movie won't be a remake of the first film so much as it will be a reboot of the series, perhaps in the same way Friday the 13th handled Jason Voorhees last month. I say I'm not sure what difference it makes not because I'm not interested, but rather because it's like wearing a suit twice but "rebooting" it by changing your cuff links.
