Apparently Jeffrey Wells, who made the announcement to begin with, said his source was composer John Williams, who had told him that the film was "seven reels long [with] each reel being 20 minutes." But Frank Marshall made sure to let everyone know that the real running time was just over two hours with credits and everything. A running time shouldn't really be any consideration for concern anyway, so this is just a topic that should blow over quickly.
