Ignatius Martin Upton is the third child for the actress and playwright Andrew Upton.
Ignatius weighed in at 7 lbs 15 ounces.
He is the third boy for the couple, who already have two sons - Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3.
Blanchett and Upton live in the beautiful city of Sydney and share co-artistic director responsibilities at the Sydney Theatre Company.
