Or do you sharply remember all that came before Christopher Nolan's reboot? Remember the '90s, when there were, like, three Batman movies? George Clooney even wore the suit at one point! As a kid I sometimes caught reruns of the Batman ... [link]

... to tape The Daily Show yesterday. Thanks to the high anticipation for the movie and amazing reviews — including Buzz, who thought it was incredible — Maggie should be able to keep smiling right through opening weekend. Of course while everything surrounding the film has a tinge of sadness, the movie's fans are helping to honor Heath's legacy starting with ticket pre-sales, which have been outstanding. Until you get a chance to hit the theater yourself, prepare by testing your Batman knowledge. ...

The Joker Killed the next Batman Movie
The Dark Knight is hands down the best Batman movie yet, but has Christopher Nolan painted himself into a corner by using up the only viable Batman villains? Most of the Batman villains left are either too campy (the Penguin, the Ventriloquist), depend too much on flexible comic book logic (Clayface, Killer Croc), or are just watered-down versions of the Joker (the Riddler, the Mad ...
Movie review: The Dark Knight (2008) by Mike
To butcher a famous line by Jack Nicholson, the original Joker from Batman: “I have given a name to my Oscar ….and it is Batman.” More specifically, The Dark Knight . I know there are movies yet to come this year that will be brilliant and amazing. Maybe the Curious Case of Benjamin Button will be a movie that warrants Academy attention. But if there was ...
Second Opinion: Batman Begins (2004)
I gave Batman Begins a C on first viewing. Spoilers below for Batman Begins and The Prestige . For some reason, seeing Batman Begins after a couple of go-rounds with The Prestige -- which actually works as a sort of companion piece -- made a huge difference in how I read it. For one thing, the complexity and intensity of the characters in The Prestige , and that film's signature idea of ...
