THR is reporting today that despite news we brought you to the contrary yesterday, Taratino is, in fact, setting up Inglorious Bastards with the Weinsteins. The independent studio will "co-finance the film, distribute it domestically and oversee production and worldwide marketing." I guess Bastards now falls into the category of 'more of the same,' so I worry about the marketing efforts this time around, ...

Source: The Hollywood Reporter Quentin Tarantino's got a new band of bad asses. This time, it's a group of soldiers ( Dirty Dozen style) who are behind enemy lines during World War II. The title? Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino acquired the title and remake rights to a 1978 film of the same name by Enzo Castellari, but the screenplay is said to be original. Set to start shooting in Europe in October, the film is targeted for accelerated production to be submitted to May's Festival de Cannes. No actors are attached officially, but Brad Pitt's name is floating in discussion.
