 Richard Kelly's 'The Box' Delayed
I hate to spread totally speculative bad buzz, but if any advance development merits the term "not a good sign," it's a movie getting its release date pushed back seven months to early September , the year's most notorious dumping ground. Is Richard Kelly’s ‘The Box’ in Trouble?

... No decent movie in history has ever been released before April), but at least it would've given Kelly fans the chance to forget about Southland Tales (and the director's cut of Donnie Darko) seven months sooner. Presumably Warner just wanted to avoid seeing the film get crushed at the box office by Valkyrie (which, until the next announced delay, is still being released in February). ... Source: Cinematical Richard Kelly should really stop making movies. It’s not that he is a bad filmmaker, but no one gives him a chance, not even the studio executives. “Donnie Darko” was dumped like a used hooker and never received much respect back when it was released (though it is a cult hit now). “Domino” was pushed back many times until it finally settled. “Southland Tales” wasn’t respected at all, and still really isn’t (unless if you are Jerry, who absolutely loves it). His new film, “The Box,” was set to open in March of 2009. Now, it has been pushed back to no other ...
