Katy Perry walked away with the Best International Song award at the 10th NRJ Awards in Cannes, but is apparently not the rightful owner of the award. It was later stated by the host of the show, Nikos Aliagas that there had been an error in the vote counting and Rihanna should have been the winner for Disturbia.
Perry did actually score a win for the Best International Album. Other NRJ Award winners were Enrique Iglesias, The Pussycat Dolls and the Jonas Brothers.

Chris Brown, 19 year old singer and songwriter, turned himself in to police at 7:15 p.m. last night at the Wilshire division of the Los Angeles Police Department, accompanied by high profile lawyer Mark Geragos and his investigator Scott Ross. The musician was charged with assaulting and making criminal threats against his girlfriend, R&B singer Rihanna.
