Allan Melvin died Thursday at the age of 84 of cancer. You might not know the name but you know him for playing Archie's good buddy on All in the Family, Sam the Butcher on the Brady Bunch and as the voices of Bluto and Magilla Gorilla.
He provided us so with many laughs and he will live on in syndication.

Allan Melvin has died at the age of 84. Reportedly, he had lost his battle with cancer on Thursday. If you remember 'All in the Family' - he played Archie's buddy and also was on the TV series, 'The Brady Bunch' as Sam the Butcher. I was a fan so I send nothing but prayers and warm thoughts to his family and close friends during this time. photo and source
