If you don't want to know - or you don't care - what Variety thinks of Sex and the City , no need to read on. For those who live for anything Sex , the trade paper basically gives it a so-so review, calling it "a "trifle half-hearted." The review (read the whole thing here ) continues: "Although thereâs pleasure in seeing HBOâs fabulous four reunited, writer-director Michael Patrick King doesnât fully bridge the gap between TV and film â delivering major story flourishes but, too often, playing like a regular episode bloated to five times its customary length."
