Alex Winter, who played the “other” title character in “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” is scripting the Howard Stern-produced remake of the 1979 Alan Arkush comedy “Rock ‘N’ Roll High School.” [image] Winter’s writing credits include the little-seen features “Freaked” (1993) and “Fever” (1999). Stern has long been developing “High School,” about kids tormenting a high-school principal who hates rock music, as well as a remake of “Porky’s.” Read all of Variety’s story on the matter here .

Sadly, Variety reports that Howard Stern is producing a remake of the classic Rock ‘n’ Roll High School. Alex Winter, who is best known still for his co-starring role in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, but recently has been doing some writing and directing, will write the script.
Stern is supposedly a big fan of the movie and that’s why he jumped into the project. He also is producing a remake of the raunchy 1982 comedy Porky’s.

In the 1979 film Rock 'n' Roll High School, the Ramones help a bunch of "rebellious students" thwart their "repressive, rock-music-hating principal." Now there's a remake coming, courtesy of none other than "shockjock" Howard Stern. Stern's other current movie project is an updated version of the raunchy 1982 comedy Porky's which, honestly, seems to make more sense for him than Rock 'n' Roll High School.
There aren't many details on the project yet, though we do know that Alex Winter, who played Bill to Keanu's Ted in their excellent adventures, will write the script.
