It appears that ABC is going to go ahead and air the 8 episodes that had scripts before the strike deadline. ABC said that as of now, it is sticking with its plan to air the eight episodes it has of Lost -- this coming on the day that Fox announced that it will bench its own serialized midseason thriller, 24. ... Looks as if we'll get a little "Lost" this winter after all. ABC told Broadcasting & Cable that the eight episodes in hand will air in early 2008 as planned. Executive producer Damon Lindelof also said the last of the eight will end in a cliffhanger, ensuring all sorts of burst forehead veins and poisonous screams cutting the night air after the end credits. Filed under: Industry, Lost24 may be on the back burner for Fox because of the writers strike, but ABC says it plans to air at least eight episodes of Lost in the mid-season. Lost executive producer and co-creator Damon Lindelof was on the picket line this week supporting his writers when he told Broadcasting & Cable about the network's plans. He said the eighth episode, which is already written, ends with a cliffhanger. So it could, theoretically, cap off a shortened season if the writers strike continues through the New Year. At least we’ve got Project Runway to look forward to. Series creators are joining the picketing ranks. Next week’s episode of The Office is the last original one they have lined up. E-Kristin says they haven’t yet filmed an episode featuring a Michael-Jan-Jim-Pam dinner party. A priest is stalking Conan O’Brien.
