... Chicago Tribune television critic, Maureen Ryan has a really comprehensive interview with Ron Moore she conducted Friday after the TCA panel on Caprica, in which he talks about the finale of Battlestar Galactica, the future of Caprica and Virtuality, and the next BSG DVD movie written by Jane Espenson and directed by Edward James Olmos. Ron also touched upon the possible production of webisodes that will bridge season 4.0 and 4.5. Ryan also briefly spoke to Sci-Fi exec David Howe as well. ...

... TV movie takes place at some point during the show's earlier seasons, and it assumes you'll have all the knowledge about the final Cylon and any other revelations during the final episodes. Moore sort of hinted that it could be retelling some past episodes from the Cylon point of view, which could be kind of fun. Also, the production team is still hoping to make ten BSG webisodes, which would be cowritten by Jane Espenson and Seamus Kevin Fahey, but no contracts are signed yet. [Chicago Tribune] ...

... I know that this is sight unseen, but I sure hope "Caprica" is good enough to justify an ongoing series. I'm not running out to start a "save our show" campaign for a show I've never seen, but I've got my fingers crossed. ... It contrasts the claustrophobia of the deep-space ship Phaeton with the open expanses the astronauts can visit in virtual reality. There'll be three layers to the storytelling, each with its own visual style: the claustrophobic ship, the virtual world, and the reality TV show the astronauts are starring in. And there's a gay relationship (the bickering Manny and Val) that's as honest and multi-dimensional as anything on TV. ... for Caprica ? I'm a big Eric Stoltz fan -- not to mention a massive Battlestar Galactica fan -- so I knew I'd be excited about the BSG prequel that may become a series. This week the Sci Fi Channel posted a trailer online, so now we know what to expect from the TV movie. In this interview , executive producer Ron Moore chats about Caprica and the final 10 episodes of Battlestar , which return in January. Stoltz discusses Caprica ...
Super Size Me

... So perhaps Eick means that some regular episodes will run a few minutes longer than usual and be super sized. We already know the original intention was that the Series Finale would be a 2 hour episode, that has since been expanded to run for 3 hours. But, the Final Episode was so epic in production, they have enough material to make it a 4 hour finale. We already know from Maureen Ryan's interview with Ron Moore that the Final Episode will be longer for the DVD version than what will be aired on TV. Unless, Sci-Fi has agreed to have it run for an additional hour. ...
