Whedon’s ‘Horrible’ Trailer
Published 6/25/2008 by Vlada Gelman at Blink
Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Remember that writers strike about some newfangled thing called the Internet? Well, let go of the bitterness of having lost new episodes of your favorite shows and being spoon-fed reality programming, because the writers strike actually gave birth to a new venture from Joss Whedon. Because Whedon doesn’t have his finger in too many pies already, he and his brothers Zack and Jed, plus Jed’s fiancée, Maurissa Tancharoen, got together during the strike and wrote “Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” a three-part, 10-minute Web musical about “a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and ...

Trailer blazer: Joss Whedon's 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog'

Neil Patrick Harris was gracious enough a couple months ago to tell us about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, the online musical minisode series he's starring in for Joss Whedon, in which he plays a hapless supervillain opposite Nathan Fillion (natch) as a stalwart hero named Captain Hammer and Felicia Day as the cute ...

The Telefile - Dr. Horrible Promises Pure Radness
Published 6/26/2008 at The Telefile
Dr. Horrible Promises Pure Radness I admit I'm not a Joss Whedon fanatic like some (read: all) TWoP staffers are. So I was shocked and awed at the fuzzy, excited feeling I got when I watched the teaser for Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog , Whedon's three-part online movie/musical starring Neil Patrick Harris as a doofy supervillain to Nathan Fillion's equally doofy superhero. I suspect the presence of Doogie has a lot to do with it, being that he can do no wrong in my (correct) opinion. As Angel reported back in March ...

I might adore Joss Whedon, but I don't think I'm biased when I say that the above trailer for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is the best thing since sliced bread. Check it out above. Aren't I right? Good lord, I could watch the trailer on repeat. It's further proof that with enough talent, you don't need a lot of money to make something great. Yeah, this isn't exactly ...

If you haven't seen it already, take a look at this: Teaser from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog on Vimeo. Harris earlier talked about the thing teased above on EW.com; link here. The "Dr. Horrible" discussion starts about 2:17 in. By the way, if you decide to watch the entire interview, I should note that "Slappy and the Stinkers" is on DVD. And that "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" outperformed the second "Harold & Kumar," according to Box Office Mojo.

Sometimes back during the brain-rot of the writers strike, we learned that Joss Whedon was passing his time working on a web-only comic musical starring Nathan Fillion of "Firefly" and Neil Patrick Harris of "How I Met Your Mother." How awesome does that sound? This morning, BuzzSugar clued me in to the existence of this trailer for "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. If this doesn't make you smile, get to a doctor immediately. Whedon, Fillian and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

Since he couldn’t write for TV during the writer’s strike, Whedon began writing for the web because when you’re a writer you can’t not write! And thus Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog was born. Here’s the trailer. Teaser from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog on Vimeo. Share This

Wondering what Joss Whedon's been up to?
Published 7/8/2008 at FilmWad
I'm a huge Buffy fan, so I get really excited when I hear Joss Whedon is working on a new movie, a new show, and new webisodes. The movie is called "Cabin in the Woods." Drew Goddard of Cloverfield says, It s genius, it s funny, and It s got a harder and darker edge, but it s also got classic Whedon qualities. It ll rip your heart out and be heartfelt at the same time. It's still in production and there isn't a release date, but I'm looking forward to it. The new TV show is "Dollhouse," and will premiere on FOX in January. The show stars Eliza Dushku, and Amy Acker (Fred on "Angel"), but according to Joss "it s not just ...
