Lionsgate just released two new character posters for The Spirit, and in a shocking move, they both utilize the black-white-red color palette. Sarah Paulson and Jaime King join previous poster subjects Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson. Now, “Come to me, lover” I can understand. But “Keep the mask on”? FRANK MILLER'S THE SPIRIT HAS A TRAILER

After the jump I’ve got the trailer for The Spirit, 300 director Frank Miller’s adaptation of Will Eisner’s 1940 comic book. It opens Christmas day. Hey, guess what colors it is! I know I may be in the minority on this, but I prefer realistic action movies to this arty farty stuff. Call me crazy, but I’d rather just see people shoot each other than watch them do an interpretive dance first.
